Garden Office A Wonderful Use
For a Garden Shed
Storage Garden Shed Brighton
What a great use of a garden shed, to create your own garden office. Since more and more of us are working at home,
space and privacy becomes an issue. Not that we are hiding anything from the family, but sometimes it is difficult
to work with little ones playing or big ones with prying eyes.
Below are a couple of our favorite garden office pictures. This office was done by a design
firm, but you can find a look that you like and use your imagination to customize your garden shed into almost
anything you want.

Home Office
Not that we don’t love working from home, but some of us have had
a hard time getting down to work without being in some type of work environment. Inside your house, there may not
be room enough to make a dedicated office that is off limits to everyone while you are working. An addition onto
the house may be way too expensive for the budget while the economy is down, but you can build or buy a garden
office for your own backyard.
Utilities and Amenities for Your Home
Office
You will need to run electricity and water to the shed, for a sink
and the electronics that we all use in work these days. You will want the space to be large enough for a desk,
probably a table and bookcases and perhaps a love seat.
A small area could be dedicated to a sink and small refrigerator.
That way, you can make your coffee or tea and have snacks close at hand without tracking off to the kitchen where
you could be distracted from work. It would be nice to have a small bathroom installed as well, but then you are
really adding to the cost.
Home Office Windows
Be sure to have nice windows installed, ones
that you can open to catch the fresh air from outside. What good is it to be in the garden without being able to
see outside?
Do have insulation installed between the outer and the inter
walls, unless you live in a climate that is always at the perfect temperature for you. I live some of the time
where it gets very hot, mainly I go somewhere else during that time, but once in a while, I stay. During the winter
months, I use a small space heater to heat the area in the mornings. I don’t need much added heat, but air
conditioning is something you need to consider since you will be working in your garden office year
round.
So life is good, working at home but separated from the
distractions and serenely peaceful in your very own custom designed garden office.
