Advantages of Garden Sheds
Suncast GS4000 Vertical Garden Shed,...
Those of us who like to work in the garden
need space to store or hide our tools and supplies. Garden sheds offer a variety of storage space with
individual flair. They give us so much flexibility in dealing with the everyday ins and outs of living and
dealing with having a large back yard. The sheds give you the extra space in which you can store your outside
things.
Outside Garden Shed Porch
The fact that garden sheds can lead a double life, fuels the
imagination. What could be lovelier than sitting in your garden, having a glass of tea, perhaps on the porch
of your garden shed, which is much more than it looks like from the outside. Could this be your own personal
Tardis (like Dr. Who)?

A shed can be a very simple structure or one
that is fairly complex and organized. I like to have a potting table with all the supplies for repotting close
at hand. Since I don't have a greenhouse right now, I can set out seedlings on shelving and maintain the
temperature and moisture content for the sprouts until they are ready to be put into the garden proper. It
gives you a great place to do all of your seedling preparation.

Inside the shed are closets for rakes and shovels as
well as a place for hoses. Large equipment like the riding grass cutter and wheelbarrows are housed outside
under a separate roofed area. I have running water at the shed so that I can water any plants that I am
nurturing without having to carry water. I also have power to heat or cool the inside. I am nothing if not a
comfort creature. I thought about putting in a shower, but that was crossed off the list. However, I do have a
sink so I can wash my garden tools and my hands.

I have windows and a porch, so my garden shed is really more like a
small outdoor house with a dedicated purpose. I hope you will enjoy working in yours and your garden. There is
nothing quite like burying your hands into fresh turned earth for giving you a sense of peace and oneness with
Mother Earth.
Potter's Shed
The other use of a potting shed is for throwing pots. You will need a potter's wheel, tools
and clay. This hobby is quite dirty (as in mud) and extremely satisfying. You will end up with a kiln
(furnace) for using when curing and glazing you pottery.
